A specialist security and connectivity business whose website needed to communicate their services more clearly, show credibility faster, and give visitors a cleaner route to enquiry.

Context

Addtek provides commercial security and connectivity services across Birmingham and the West Midlands — CCTV, access control, networking, and managed support for business premises. Their existing website covered the right territory but didn’t communicate their expertise clearly enough for potential clients visiting cold.

The problem

The service offering was difficult to read at a glance. Visitors couldn’t quickly understand what Addtek did, which services applied to them, or why Addtek was the right provider. Trust signals were minimal, the hierarchy of services lacked clarity, and the enquiry path required more effort than it should.

For a business that wins work through credibility and trust, the site wasn’t doing enough of that work.

What changed

We restructured the service hierarchy so visitors could orient themselves quickly — understanding what Addtek offered and where they sat within it. Credibility signals were brought into earlier view: service area coverage, relevant accreditations, and the kind of proof points that build confidence before an enquiry is made. The enquiry route was simplified so the path from interest to contact was clear.

Key decisions
  • Restructure rather than rebuild — the content foundation was sound and the brand established; it needed clearer organisation, not a new identity.
  • Prioritise service clarity and enquiry flow over visual overhaul. The goal was a site that communicated better, not one that looked newer for its own sake.
  • Surface trust signals earlier in the visitor journey rather than relegating them to sub-pages most visitors never reach.
The outcome

A sharper, more legible version of an already-capable business — with a clearer service structure, stronger trust layer, and a more direct path to enquiry. No rebuild required. The site now reflects the quality of the business behind it more honestly.
